Face lift operation can be done in 3 different ways. Which of these techniques should be applied is judged by looking at the slackness of the cheek tissues, the degree of sagging, and the presence of wrinkles on the skin.

1- Classic face lift

Generally, it is preferred in people who have relaxation, dilation, sagging and wrinkle on the cheek skin. The skin is cut along the front border of the ear. The skin on the cheek is removed. The inner tissues of the cheek and the cheek skin are stretched, the sags are removed, the redundancies are removed. There is no visible trace since the surgery is performed by blindstitch and the cut is made from the anterior of the ear and inside of the ear.

2- Endoscopic face lift

This method is applied when if  the only problem is the sagging of the cheek tissues. Compared to the classical method, we can say that it is more appealing to a younger age group and can be easily applied even in the 30s. A 2 cm cut is put in the hairy area in the scalp in the temple, and the camera is placed inside the cut. All tissues of the temple and the cheek area are stripped of the bone from the floor. Afterwards, these tissues are fixed by pulling upwards. In this method, hidden stitches are used. The cuts are small, bloodless, so the recovery time is shorter than the classical method.

3- Endoscopic mid-face lift

We can also call as cheek-lifting surgery. It is intended to remove sagging cheeks. Cheeks hang together with; the skin, fat layer and muscles. Therefore, when this process is done by stretching the skin only, a temporary solution is created, the fat layer and the sagging of the muscles are only camouflaged and become active  in a short time. The upward stretching of the cheek muscles together with the fat layer and the sheath on the side of the cheek provides a permanent way of gaining the position of the cheek tissues in their youth.

Two techniques can be applied in some patients according to the criteria of slackness and sagging of the cheek tissues, and whether there are wrinkles on the skin.
